Mantras are the Proper combined holy cosmic sounds and divine vibrations. The Sanskrit syllables inscribed on Yantras, are essentially 'thought forms' representing divinities or cosmic powers, which exert their influence by means of sound-vibrations. Havan is also known in Sanskrit as Agnihotra. In English Agni means Fire and Hotra means healing, so Agnihotra means healing-fire. Yajya (or Havana) is the name given to a practice that is performed on the basis of true knowledge. It is basically of five types, among which one is commonly known as Havan, wherein we make purifying offerings to the sacred fire for mental and physical well-being. Agni or fire holds inspirational value for the soul through its features of light, speed and motion. It inspires us souls to become bright and radiant. It inspires us to burn out our mental and intellectual imperfections. Havan symbolizes the three Ds of discipline, devotion and dedication. It teaches us to give without expecting anything in return, because this is what fire does. While performing Havan, we make our offerings by saying the word Swaaha. The word Swaaha symbolizes: soft-spoken ness and politeness; truth; not being possessive of any object other than ones own; being consistent in thoughts and words; and an eagerness to sacrifice even ones most beloved objects.

              Havan has two-fold significance spiritual and materialistic. The spiritual significance lies in remembering, praising and thanking God and His Supreme Nature, praying for wisdom to perform the right actions, and praying for abolition of our imperfections and inculcation of positive qualities. The materialistic significance of Havan is illustrated by the fact that it is a process of purification of the atmosphere as a cumulative effect of various scientific principles harnessed to give rise to an unparallel purifying and healing phenomenon. The simultaneous functioning of subtle scientific principles like the effect of chanting of specific sounds on the atmosphere and mind, energies emanating from the pyramid-shape of havan-kund and the nutritional effect of burning of medicinal ingredients, together not only lead to a fulfilling spiritual experience but also sterilize the environment, making it free of germs and infection. Fire always tends to rise upwards. The characteristic of fire is put to use when we perform Havan by offering purifying substances having medicinal values, that help create a pure, disinfected and relaxed atmosphere. The ghee (butter) made out of cows milk has been referred to as an antidote of poison in our Vedas and it is one of the most important offerings in Havan. When we make our offerings to this fire and pray in front of it, we are actually seeking the Lords blessings to help us rise and progress forever in life and stop not till the goal is achieved.

Deeksha or initiation is the bounding ceremony of spiritual relationship between Guru and disciple for the attainment of spiritual teaching and training course. Initiation into Laya Yoga means that a bond has been established between a human spirit clad in a body and the Eternal, the Highest and the Holiest Spirit of God, Brahman, that remains bodiless. The energy of initiation is a transmission of power from The Holy Spirit and reconciliation with God in the Holy Spirit. It facilitates concentration on the Spirit and Truth, as well as genuinely pious and inspired prayer. Pooja (Sanskrit reverence, honor, adoration, or worship) is a devotional formalities, religious ritual, and usually refers to specific acts of religious praise, honor, or devotion, typically directed to a supernatural being such as God or Goddess. Pooja is also performed on special sadhana occasions in addition to the daily ritual. It is the informal term in English for what sociologists of religion call cults, the body of practices and traditions that correspond to theology. 

          Pooja consists of meditation (Dhyana), austerity (tapa), mantra chanting, prayer, scripture reading (Svadhyaya), offering food (thaal) and prostrations (panchanga or ashtanga pranama, dandavat). The individual also applies a Tilaka mark on the forehead with sandalwood paste, and then a Vermillion (kumkum) dot (chandlo) in its center. This signifies submission to the Almighty and also His Omnipresence. Pooja is usually concluded with Arty to the supernatural objective ( Eshta ) or  Lord.

Are you the body or is the body yours ? When we say "my body" or "my brain", what is "my" and who am I ? When a person dies, his body and brain are still here but something intangible i.e. his consciousness and soul are no longer here. The essence of a human being is his soul (para-psychic origin of everything). For this Dhyana (meditation or inner visualization of Cosmic Truth) is done under the direct guidance of a guru. Gradually, meditation gets converted into samadhi (enlightened state). The individual attains the initial stage of samadhi (partial enlightenment or partial synchronization of the developing individual consciousness with  cosmic  consciousness). Passing through the various stages of samadhi, he attains the final stage of Samadhi, called Turiya or super conscious state. In this state, where his individual consciousness has developed fully, his soul merges completely with the soul of the Creator. This complete merger is called yoga or absolute enlightenment or Self-Realization. The process described here to get enlightenment is the personal cosmic perceptions & experience of the founder and living Guru & spiritual master of this Mission, Swami Shivapoojananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj.

             Creator or God is the central origin of the whole cosmic existence and  is  omnipresent.  The  souls of the Creator and any individual are absolutely same  although the individual  soul  is  enclosed  by  the physical body, which is a part of Nature (a creation of God consisting of earth, air, water, sky, fire  and their various combinations) while the soul of Creator is free from Nature.   General Directions For Performing specially Hatha-Yoga system : -----------------               TOP
A glass of fresh water should be taken before performing the asanas and pranayamas specially in morning.

Stomach should be empty for morning yoga practices. In evening, some basic asanas and pranayamas can be performed 8 hours after a meal, 2 hours after a glass of milk and one hour after eating fruits.

Always perform major Asanas, Pranayamas, Bandhas, Satkarama practices early in the morning. If this is not possible, the next best time would be evening around dusk for some of the prescribed yoga practices.

Non-vegetarian, rich, left-over, very dry or hot, or too much quantity of food should be avoided.
Too much Force/pressure/strain should not be used while performing asanas, pranayamas and Satkarama.
One must not go out in the cold, hot or rain just after performing Hatha-Yoga practices.
The breathing should be controlled and should always be through the nose. The benefits of asanas increase if pranayama and meditation is performed simultaneously.
If the body is stressed & tire during practices of asanas, perform Shavasana/relaxation for a few minutes.

specially Asanas and pranayamas should be performed in a well-lit, clean and ventilated room and plan surface. The surrounding atmosphere should be peaceful and safe.

Light physical exercises, followed by shatkarmas, Omm chanting, Yogasana, pranayama, mudra,    bandha and meditation is the ideal sequence in morning Yoga sadhanas chart.

Yogasanas, especially inverted poses, are to be avoided during menstruation and some physical problems.

During pregnancy, after the first 3 months, exercises that require lying on stomach are to be avoided and also inverted poses should be avoided especially in / from the third trimester.
